Desktop Connector Video Tutorial

About Desktop Connector Tray Icon

When Desktop Connector is installed a tray icon is also installed on the Windows status bar. We strongly recommend you add the Desktop Connector tray icon to your Windows status bar as shown in the video. That way, you can have constant visibility into the status of your sync operations.


Tray Icon and Statuses

Once you have Installed Desktop Connector, a tray icon Desktop Connector Tray Icon will display in the Windows Taskbar at the bottom right corner of your computer screen. When more icons are installed in the system tray than can fit in the space allotted, scroll or expand the system tray to display the Desktop Connector tray icon in the overflow area.

Tray Uses

In the latest release, you can left click the tray icon to view your Desktop Connector activities from the previous 24 hours in the home screen. From the home screen, you can also access new and previous menu options which used to be available directly from the tray icon. Refer to the Home Screen and Menu Options page for more information.

Note: You can hover your cursor over the tray icon to display the version of Desktop Connector you've got installed and compare this to the latest release.

Tray Icon Statuses

The tray icon dot changes color to help you quickly understand the status of Desktop Connector:

Desktop Connector is starting up.

or

Desktop Connector is processing changes. The tray icon color depends on your version of Desktop Connector.

Desktop Connector is online.

Desktop Connector is offline or you are not signed in yet.

Desktop Connector experienced an error while processing. Check for errors directly in the home screen in the Docs Connector, or by clicking View Details in the Drive and Fusion Connectors to see Pending Actions.

or

Desktop Connector requires an update. You will need to update to the latest version of Desktop Connector to continue using your connector.
