The Autodesk Fabrication CADmep Object Enabler is a freeware application that allows object data and geometry created in Autodesk Fabrication CADmep to be accessed outside the Autodesk Fabrication CADmep environment. For example, the Autodesk Fabrication CADmep Object Enabler allows Navisworks users to directly retrieve property data while reviewing Autodesk Fabrication CADmep 3D models.
If an AutoCAD drawing that includes CADmep items is opened on a workstation where CADmep is not installed, the Proxy Information dialog is displayed when the drawing is opened. If this is the case, the Autodesk Fabrication CADmep Object Enabler must be installed and loaded for the items to display.
To obtain the Object Enabler, go to the Autodesk website www.Autodesk.com, search on Object Enabler, and follow the download instructions.
