To create the installation time table on an item:
- Click Database
Costing
Labour Rates
Installation Rate, and enter the value then click OK. For example, enter 30 for Skilled.
For imperial configurations, the unit is $/(hrs). For metric configurations, the unit is £/(hrs).
- Click Database
Costing
Installation Times, and then click New to create a new installation table for the threaded type.
- In Create New Table dialog, select Create New Empty Table, and Breakpoint Table for Type of Table, and then click OK.
- Click the Properties button
to display the Table Properties dialog, enter a name for the table, specify a group from the drop-down list, click OK.
- Set the following properties:
- Breakpoints: Duct-End 1 Width/Diameter<=
- Unit Cost: By Qty
- Units: (mins)
- Create an external spreadsheet file containing the installation time for each diameter, as shown below. Installation time data can usually be found in the manufacturer’s installation manual, or from other relevant materials.
- Copy and paste the data from the external spreadsheet to the installation table, then click OK.
- In the Item Folders view, right-click the item and select Properties.
- Click the Costing tab. Depending on the type of item (valve, tube or grooved coupling), set the Extra E-Time and E-Rate (Installation Time table) options as described below, and then click OK.
- For a Valve:
- Extra E-Time: Skilled* (30.00)
- E-Rate: Ball Valve - Flanged
- For a Tube:
- Extra E-Time: Skilled* (30.00)
- E-Rate: Carbon Steel - Welded
- For a Coupling (Grooved):
- Extra E-Time: Skilled* (30.00)
- E-Rate: Grooved Coupling
