Takeoff by Other End

All items, by default, attach via Connector End 1 (C1). The Takeoff by Other End Button Script command allows you to change the connector end, to which items are attached. It may be the case when an item such as a valve or 45 Tee has a handle or branch oriented the wrong way if attached via C1. The steps below describe how to setup this Button Script command.

To setup the Takeoff by Other End Button Script command on items:

1. Choose the relevant Service from the drop -down menu.
2. Select the Edit Service Database button.

   

3. Select the Service Information button.

   

4. Right-click the item you wish to assign the "Takeoff by Other end" option, select Button Properties.

   

5. Select the Edit Script button to prompting the Edit Command Script dialog.

   

6. Highlight Takeoff by Other End (column on the left), use the arrow pointing to the Right to add it to the list of Selected Commands (column on the right).
7. Click Ok to return back to the Button Properties dialog.
   Note: The Button Properties dialog has the option "Script is default Action", checking this assigns the button script indefinitely, if you want to have the option at takeoff, leave this option unchecked.
8. To add the item running the command script, right-click the item, select Execute Script.
