Description

Creates a CosmeticBendFeatureInput object that is used to specify the input needed to create a cosmetic bend feature. Set optional properties on the returned input and then pass it to the add method.

Syntax

"cosmeticBendFeatures_var" is a variable referencing a CosmeticBendFeatures object.

returnValue = cosmeticBendFeatures_var.createInput(referenceLine, bendType)

# Uses optional arguments.
returnValue = cosmeticBendFeatures_var.createInput(referenceLine, bendType, angle)

Return Value

Type Description
CosmeticBendFeatureInput Returns the newly created CosmeticBendFeatureInput, or null if the creation of the input failed.

Parameters

Name Type Description
referenceLine SketchLine A SketchLine that exists in a sketch created in the flat pattern in which the cosmetic bend is being created. It must lie on the top face of the flat pattern.
bendType CosmeticBendTypes The type of cosmetic bend to create, either a press brake bend or a crease.
angle ValueInput The value input that defines the bend angle. This is only used when bendType is PressBrakeCosmeticBendType, it is ignored when bendType is CreaseCosmeticBendType. Defaults to null, in which case a default angle of 90 degrees is used.

This is an optional argument whose default value is null.
