PreviewThis functionality is provided as a preview of intended future API capabilities. You are encouraged to use it and report any problems or suggestions using the Fusion API and Scripts forum.

Because this is a preview of future functionality, there is the possibility that it will change, which will possibly break any existing programs that use this functionality. Because of that, you should never deliver any programs that use any preview capabilities. For a distributed program, you should wait until it has moved from preview to released state.

Defined in namespace "adsk::fusion" and the header file is <Fusion/SheetMetal/SheetMetalChamferEdgeSetInputs.h>

Description

Adds an edge set to the chamfer input. Every edge in the supplied array must be a thickness- direction edge (an edge whose length equals the sheet metal thickness and that is bordered by two non-parallel detail faces) on the same sheet metal body. Mixing bodies or supplying any other type of edge will cause the subsequent add on the parent SheetMetalChamferFeatures to fail.

Syntax

"sheetMetalChamferEdgeSetInputs_var" is a variable referencing a SheetMetalChamferEdgeSetInputs object.

returnValue = sheetMetalChamferEdgeSetInputs_var.add(edges, distance)

Return Value

Type Description
SheetMetalChamferEdgeSetInput Returns the newly created SheetMetalChamferEdgeSetInput object or null if the addition failed.

Parameters

Name Type Description
edges BRepEdge[] The thickness-direction edges to chamfer.
distance ValueInput The constant chamfer distance applied to every edge in this set. If a real value is supplied it will be interpreted as centimeters. If a string is supplied it behaves the same as entering the value in the command dialog (for example "3.5", "0.25 in", or an expression such as "thickness / 2").
