of intended future API capabilities. You are encouraged to use it and report any problems or suggestions using the
Fusion API and Scripts forum.
Because this is a preview of future functionality, there is the possibility that it will change, which will possibly
break any existing programs that use this functionality. Because of that, you should never deliver any programs that use
any preview capabilities. For a distributed program, you should wait until it has moved from preview to released state.
The definition for a flange that extends the full length of the edge, but where offset values define the offset of each side of the flange from each end of the edge.
| Name | Description |
| classType |
Static function that all classes support that returns the type of the class as a string. The returned string matches the string returned by the objectType property. For example if you have a reference to an object and you want to check if it's a SketchLine you can use myObject.objectType == fusion.SketchLine.classType(). |
| deleteMe |
Deletes this definition from the collection of edges that define the flange. |
| Name | Description |
| edge | Gets and sets the edge that defines where the flange will be created. The edge must be a linear edge on the outside of a sheet metal body. To use this property, you need to position the timeline marker to immediately before this feature. This can be accomplished using the following code: thisFeature.timelineObject.rollTo(true) |
| isTemporary | Specifies if this FlangeEdgeDefinition is associated with a FlangeFeatureInput or a FlangeFeature. Returns true when associated with an input object, which means the persistent flange feature has not yet been created. |
| isValid | Indicates if this object is still valid, i.e. hasn't been deleted or some other action done to invalidate the reference. |
| objectType | This property is supported by all objects in the API and returns a string that contains the full name (namespace::objecttype) describing the type of the object. It's often useful to use this in combination with the classType method to see if an object is a certain type. For example: if obj.objectType == adsk.core.Point3D.classType(): |
| offsetOne | Returns the parameter that controls the offset of the first side of the flange from the end of the edge. A negative value will narrow the width of the flange so it doesn't extend all the way to the end of the edge. A positive value will cause the flange to extend beyond the edge. If the isTemporary property is true, this property will return null and the offsetOneValue property should be used to get and set the offset of the first side. |
| offsetOneValue | Gets and sets the offset of the first side of the flange from the end of the edge. A negative value will narrow the width of the flange so it doesn't extend all the way to the end of the edge. A positive value will cause the flange to extend beyond the edge. If the isTemporary property is false, this property will return null and the offsetOne property should be used to access the parameter that controls the offset of the first side. |
| offsetTwo | Returns the parameter that controls the offset of the second side of the flange from the end of the edge. A negative value will narrow the width of the flange so it doesn't extend all the way to the end of the edge. A positive value will cause the flange to extend beyond the edge. If the isTemporary property is true, this property will return null and the offsetTwoValue property should be used to get and set the offset of the second side. |
| offsetTwoValue | Gets and sets the offset of the second side of the flange from the end of the edge. A negative value will narrow the width of the flange so it doesn't extend all the way to the end of the edge. A positive value will cause the flange to extend beyond the edge. If the isTemporary property is false, this property will return null and the offsetTwo property should be used to access the parameter that controls the offset of the second side. |
| widthType | Returns how the width of the flange is currently defined for this edge. Each width type has its own derived class, so this object can be cast to that class to reach the values that define the width. The exception is an edge created in the user interface using the "two offsets" width where the offsets were measured from selected reference objects rather than the ends of the edge. Those reference objects are not exposed through the API, so the edge is reported through this base class and can only be read. |
