Move designs to Trash

Move designs to Trash in Fusion and permanently delete data using the Fusion web client. You must have Editor privileges or higher in a project to work with the Trash folder.

Move a design to Trash in Fusion

1. In the Data Panel, right-click the design.
2. Click Move to Trash.

The design moves to the Trash folder in the corresponding parent folder in the Fusion web client.

Tips

• Hold Ctrl (Windows) or Command (MacOS) and click to select multiple designs.
• If a model that was moved to Trash was the primary member of a shared part number group, the remaining oldest member of that group becomes the new primary member.

Move data to Trash using the Fusion web client

You can use the Fusion web client to move data to a project's Trash folder.

1. In your project, navigate to the design or folder you want to ove to Trash and place the pointer over it.
2. Click More > Move to Trash.
3. In the Delete dialog, click Move to Trash.

Data is moved to Trash as follows:

• When you move a folder to Trash, its contents are also deleted.
• The structure of a folder moved to Trash is maintained.
• If a model that was moved to Trash was the primary member of a shared part number group, the remaining oldest member of that group becomes the new primary member.

Restore data from Trash using the Fusion web client

Use the Fusion web client to restore data from the Trash folder.

1. In your hub, navigate to the project that contained the deleted data.
2. Click the Trash folder to open it.
3. Select the designs or folders to restore.
4. Right-click and select Restore .
5. Click Restore to confirm.

Data is restored as follows:

• Designs and folders are returned to their original locations.
• The contents of a folder are also restored.
• A model that was the primary member of a shared part number group resumes its role as primary.

Permanently delete data using the Fusion web client

Use the Fusion web client to permanently delete data from Trash.

1. In your hub, navigate to the project the data was deleted from.
2. Click the Trash folder to open it.
3. Select the designs or folders to delete forever.
4. Right-click and select Delete forever .
5. Click Delete forever to confirm.
