Edit offset limits

Use Edit Offset Limits to modify the offset range on an existing Align or Angle constraint in Fusion. The Edit Offset Limits dialog includes the same offset limit settings as when you create the constraint, focused on offset limits only.

  1. In the Browser, expand Relationships > Constraints, then expand the constraint you want to edit.

If the constraint is part of a Constraint Set, expand the set, then expand the individual constraint.

  2. Place your cursor over the constraint's Offset, click Edit Offset Limits edit offset limits icon.

The Edit Offset Limits dialog displays.

  3. In the Edit Offset Limits dialog, adjust settings:

    • Offset Distance (Align constraint) or Offset Angle (Angle constraint): Enter the offset value between the selected geometry.
    • Use Offset as Rest: Select to use the offset value as the resting position. The offset value must be within the minimum and maximum range.
    • Minimum: Select to enable a minimum limit, then enter the minimum value for the offset range.
    • Maximum: Select to enable a maximum limit, then enter the maximum value for the offset range.
  4. (Optional) Preview the limits in the canvas:

    • Click Preview Limits to animate the constraint through its minimum and maximum offset range. Click again to stop the animation.
    • Select Solve All Constraints to preview the limits with all existing constraints in the assembly applied.
  5. Click OK.

The offset limits update on the constraint. The component can move only within the specified offset range.
