Learn how to open *.f3d

designs that contain unresolved external components or derived designs and attempt to resolve them in Fusion.

The Resolve Component command lets you request access, unarchive projects, or restore deleted designs to resolve external components in the active design.
Here are the reasons components become unresolved and actions you can take to resolve them:

In the Browser, right-click an unresolved component.
Select Replace Component.
The Replace Component dialog displays.
In the dialog, navigate to a different design and select it.
Optional: Check Replace All Instances if you want to replace all identical instances of the selected component in the assembly.
Click Replace.
The unresolved component is replaced.
The unresolved component is deleted.
If you want to make significant changes to the design before resolving the components, you must first use the Modify > Compute Unresolved command. It computes only the features related to unresolved external components in the assembly. You must compute the features related to the unresolved components before you can edit or save the design.
