Split a body into multiple bodies

Learn how to split an existing body into multiple bodies within a component in a Fusion design.

In the Design workspace, you can access Split Body from the Modify panel in the following locations:

• On the Solid tab
• On the Surface tab

1. In the browser, click the radio button next to the component to activate it.
2. Create a sketch, body, or construction geometry to use as a splitting tool.
3. Click to expand the Modify panel.
4. Select Split Body.
5. Select the body to split.
6. Select the profile, face, plane, or body to use as a splitting tool to split the body.
7. Click OK.
