Bore milling strategy

Bore is used for helical milling into holes or bosses that have straight or tapered walls. Select any internal or external faces to create the toolpath. The heights and depths are automatically derived from the selected face.

To speed up the geometry selection process, you can use the options in the Geometry tab to automatically select geometry with the same diameter, or to automatically select holes and bosses based on minimum and maximum diameter ranges.

When compared with an equivalent Circular toolpath, the Bore toolpath generally results in faster machining times.
