Defaults for manufacturing parameters

A parameter is a setting in a strategy dialog, such as a box where you type a value. Fusion comes with pre-defined parameters known as system defaults.

You can change parameters as needed to meet your requirements. You can save any changes you make as user defaults.

The options in the Manage group let you export, import, and reset defaults.

Export Defaults copies all the current defaults, which include the system defaults plus any saved user defaults, to an *.f3dhsm-defaults file.

Import Defaults lets you replace all the current defaults with those saved in a *.f3dhsm-defaults file.

Reset Default lets you change all the current defaults to the system defaults.

Making and Resetting Parameter Defaults

In the Manufacture workspace, Fusion provides working default values for each of the strategy parameters found in the Operation dialog. You can control the default values of each parameter by clicking the More menu more icon next to the parameter field, and selecting Edit Expression from the context menu.

The names for referencing other parameters can be determined by holding down the Shift key while you place the pointer over a parameter field.
