In the Browser, select the toolpath you want to trim.
On the Manufacture workspace toolbar, click Milling > Modify > Trim. The Trim dialog appears.
In the Trim dialog, select a Trim Type option:
Polygon: Lets you place three or more points to create a polygon that covers an area of a toolpath.
Plane: Lets you specify a plane to cover an area of a toolpath.
Boundary: Lets you select a closed contour on the model to use as a boundary and contain an area of a toolpath.
Select a Keep option:
Outside: Keeps the part of the toolpath that is outside the polygon or boundary.
Inside: Keeps the part of the toolpath that is inside the polygon or boundary.
Both: Keeps both parts of the toolpath, resulting in two separate toolpaths.
(Optional) To add notes as an aid to later recall why you were performing the modification, type some text in the Notes box. The notes appear when you place the pointer over the modification in the timeline.
Click OK.
