Learn how to configure the plastic rule assigned to a component for configurations in Fusion.

Add a component's plastic rule to the Configuration Table

1. In the Browser, select a Component with a Plastic Rule assigned to it:

   • In Configuration Mode, click a highlighted component.

   • Outside Configuration Mode, right-click a component and select Configure.

     The Configure dialog displays.

2. Check Plastic Rule.

3. Click OK.

If it's the first plastic rule you've configured:

• A Plastic Rule Theme column is added to the top table.
• The Plastic Rule Theme Table is added below the top table.

Components display as columns in the Theme Table. All plastic rules in the Library and used in the design display in the list.

Configure the plastic rule assigned to a component

1. In the Configuration Table, locate the column for the component you want to edit.
2. For each row, expand the list.
3. Select a Plastic Rule.

The Plastic Rule assigned to the component updates for that Configuration. If you update the plastic rule for the active configuration, the design updates in the canvas.

Rename a component from its column header

1. Right-click the component's column header.
2. Select Rename Column.
3. Enter a new name for the component.
4. Press 'Enter'.

The component name updates in the column header, Browser, and anywhere else it appears.

Tips

• In the Manage Plastic Rules dialog, add all the plastic rules you want to use to the In this design or Library section, and they'll display in the list.
