Create a hole table

Learn how to create a hole table on a sheet in the Drawing workspace in Fusion.

Create a new hole table

  1. On the toolbar, select Tables > Hole Table hole table icon.

    The Table dialog displays.

  2. In the Table dialog, make sure the Hole Table is selected as the Type.

  3. In the canvas, select a drawing view to associate with the hole table and click to place the origin.

    The empty hole table displays at the cursor.

  4. Optionally, in the dialog, modify the Title.

  5. In the dialog, select the Arrange option:

    • by Position: Holes are located and labeled according to their physical location to the origin.
    • by Size: Holes are located and labeled according to their size from the smallest to largest.
  6. Optionally, select the preferred Origin Style.

  7. Click to place the hole table on the sheet.

The hole table displays on the sheet and is populated with information about the holes in the view you selected.

Hole Table utilizes the Ordinate Dimensions origin if available, and vice versa.

Edit a hole table

  1. Double-click the hole table.

    The Hole Table dialog displays.

  2. Edit the Title.

  3. Adjust the Table Direction:

    • Up: Places the header at the bottom and orders rows from bottom up.
    • Down: Places the header at the top and orders rows from top down.
  4. Adjust the Arrange option:

    • by Position
    • by Size
  5. Select the preferred Origin Style.

  6. Adjust the display and order of columns in the hole table:

    • Check a column to include it.
    • Uncheck a column to exclude it.
    • Select a column, then click the Up arrow to move it up.
    • Select a column, then click the Down arrow to move it down.
  7. Click Close.

Change the style of the origin marker

  1. Double-click the origin marker.

    The Origin dialog displays.

  2. Select the new Origin Style:

    • Datum Target datum target icon Identifies the X0, Y0 location for hole tables or ordinate dimensions.
    • ISO Origin iso origin icon Identifies the X0, Y0 location for ISO hole tables or ordinate dimensions.
    • ASME Origin asme origin icon Identifies the X0, Y0 location for ASME hole tables or ordinate dimensions.
    • Alternate Origin alternate origin icon Identifies the X0, Y0 location for hole tables or ordinate dimensions.
  3. Click OK.
