Create and modify hole or thread notes

Learn how to use the Hole and Thread Note command in the Drawing workspace in Fusion to create notes associated with hole or thread features on the current sheet.

You can also create thread notes for thread features that aren't associated with hole features. This means you can create a thread note for a thread that you added to extruded cuts (internal thread) or extruded circular profiles (external thread).

When you create hole or thread notes for hole or thread features, the notes automatically populate with information about the holes or threads.

Create a hole or thread note

  1. On the toolbar, click Text > Hole and Thread Note hole and thread note icon.

The Note dialog displays and Type is set to Hole and Thread Note.

  1. Click the edge of a hole or thread feature to place the arrowhead.
  2. Click to place the leader line and text.
  3. Optional: Repeat steps 2-3 to place additional hole or thread notes.
  4. Click Close.

  2. Click one of the gray grips.

Note: If you move the arrowhead, the leader will disassociate the note from its associated feature. If you move the feature in the design, the note will no longer automatically adjust with it.
