Learn how to modify linetype, line width, and display options in a drawing sketch.

In the Drawing workspace, click Create > Create Sketch, or double-click an existing drawing sketch in the browser, to enter the Sketch contextual environment.

  2. In the Sketch dialog, adjust the Properties:
    • Linetype
    • Line Width

The linetype and line width of the selected geometry change in the canvas.

Adjust Linetype and Line Width for new sketch geometry

  1. If you have any sketch geometry selected, press Esc to deselect it.
  2. In the Sketch dialog, adjust the Properties:
    • Linetype
    • Line Width

The linetype and line width are applied to new sketch geometry you create.

Adjust display Options for the Sketch contextual environment

  1. In the Sketch dialog, check or uncheck Options:
    • Show Sheet Contents: Show/hide contents of the current sheet
    • Show Layout Grid: Show/hide layout grid of the current sheet
    • Snap to Grid: Controls whether or not sketch geometry snaps to the layout grid
Note: Adjustments to Options only apply to the active session in the Sketch contextual environment. When you edit the same drawing sketch again, or create or edit a different drawing sketch, the Options reset to default. All 3 options are checked by default.
