Modify properties and options in a drawing sketch
Learn how to modify linetype, line width, and display options in a drawing sketch.
In the Drawing workspace, click Create > Create Sketch, or double-click an existing drawing sketch in the browser, to enter the Sketch contextual environment.
Adjust Linetype and Line Width for existing sketch geometry
- Select sketch geometry.
- In the Sketch dialog, adjust the Properties:
The linetype and line width of the selected geometry change in the canvas.
Adjust Linetype and Line Width for new sketch geometry
- If you have any sketch geometry selected, press
Esc
to deselect it.
- In the Sketch dialog, adjust the Properties:
The linetype and line width are applied to new sketch geometry you create.
Adjust display Options for the Sketch contextual environment
- In the Sketch dialog, check or uncheck Options:
- Show Sheet Contents: Show/hide contents of the current sheet
- Show Layout Grid: Show/hide layout grid of the current sheet
- Snap to Grid: Controls whether or not sketch geometry snaps to the layout grid
Note: Adjustments to Options only apply to the active session in the Sketch contextual environment. When you edit the same drawing sketch again, or create or edit a different drawing sketch, the Options reset to default. All 3 options are checked by default.
