Constrain geometry in a title block

Learn how to constrain geometry in a title block in the Drawing workspace in Fusion.

In the Drawing workspace, select the title block, right-click, then select Edit Title Block to enter the Title Block contextual environment.

Note: If the New Title Block displays first, you need to create a new title block before you can modify it.
Templates

If you plan to reuse title blocks, borders, document settings, or sheet settings across multiple drawings, create a drawing template to save time and apply consistent standards. You can also create placeholder views and placeholder tables that automatically generate drawing views and part lists from the referenced design when you use the template to create a new drawing.

  1. On the toolbar, select Constraints.

  2. Select one of the following types of constraints:

    • Horizontal/Vertical horizontal/vertical icon
    • Coincident coincident icon
    • Tangent tangent icon
    • Equal equal icon
    • Parallel parallel icon
    • Perpendicular perpendicular icon
    • Fix fix/unfix icon
    • Concentric concentric icon
    • Collinear collinear icon
    • Symmetric symmetry icon
  3. Select the first sketch object.

  4. Select the second sketch object.

The sketch geometry is constrained accordingly and a constraint badge displays next to the constrained sketch geometry in the canvas.

  5. Optional: Keep selecting objects to constrain.

  6. Optional: Select a different type of constraint.

  7. Optional: Press Esc to exit the tool.
