Learn how to create and edit a title block on a sheet in the Drawing workspace.
If you plan to reuse title blocks, borders, document settings, or sheet settings across multiple drawings, create a drawing template to save time and apply consistent standards. You can also create placeholder views and placeholder tables that automatically generate drawing views and part lists from the referenced design when you use the template to create a new drawing.
After you create or open a drawing, on the current sheet:
Select the title block, right-click, then select New Title Block.
The New Title Block dialog displays.
In the New Title Block dialog, select one of the 3 Source settings, and adjust its associated settings:
Click OK.
You will enter the Title Block contextual environment and the Title Block dialog displays.
In the Title Block dialog, adjust the linetype, lineweight, and display settings.
On the toolbar:
On the toolbar, click Finish Title Block.
You exit the Title Block contextual environment and the new title block displays on the sheet.
Select the title block and right-click.
Select Edit Title Block.
You will enter the Title Block contextual environment and the Title Block dialog displays.
Use the commands in the toolbar and the Title Block dialog to create, modify, or delete geometry.
On the toolbar, click Finish Title Block.
