Create horizontal or vertical linear dimensions

Learn how to use the Linear Dimension tool in the Drawing workspace in Fusion to create a dimension that measures the horizontal or vertical distance between two points on a sheet.

1. On the toolbar, select Dimension > Linear Dimension .

2. On the sheet, select the first point to measure.

3. Select the second point.

4. Move the mouse pointer to position the dimension.

   The dimension switches between horizontal and vertical orientation based on the location of your mouse pointer.

5. Click to place the dimension.

The dimension displays on the sheet and is associated with the geometry that it measures in the drawing view.
