Create a package from a local STEP file

Create a package by uploading a STEP file from your computer. Before you begin, open an existing library or create a new library.

1. In the Content Manager, right-click a footprint and select Attach Existing 3D Model.

2. In the bottom-left corner of the dialog, click Select from my computer....

3. Navigate to the STEP file you want to use and click Open.

4. In the Save dialog, name the new package, choose its storage location, and click OK.

   Fusion creates the package from the STEP file and the footprint outline.

5. (Optional) Edit the package to modify the alignment over the footprint.
