Attribute sets for component variants
An attribute set stores a list of property values for a component variant. Attribute sets allow you to create multiple configurations for each variant. When you place a component in a schematic, you choose which variant and which attribute set to use. Each variant starts with one attribute set called DEFAULT.
How attribute sets work
When you create a new attribute set:
- The attribute set name combines with the component name and variant name to create the full part name.
- If the attribute set name is DEFAULT, only the component and variant names are used.
- Each attribute set can have different values for the same attributes.
- You can copy attribute names and values from other attribute sets in your library.
