Delete an attribute

Delete an attribute from a component variant in the Electronics Library.

Prerequisites

1. Open the Attributes dialog.
2. Make sure you are viewing attributes for the desired component variant.

Steps

• In the Attributes dialog, right-click the attribute name in the left column and select Delete Attribute.

• Click Delete to remove the attribute from the current variant, and the row no longer displays in the table.

• If the value was stored as a component or library scope, this will delete the attribute across the component or library. See the message in the dialog to confirm the scope being deleted.

• (Optional) Modify how broadly to apply the deletion:

  • Preserve values for other variants and components: Deletes the attribute only from the current variant while keeping it available for other variants and components in the library. This will only show when there are other components or variants within the scope being deleted.
  • Delete attribute from the entire library: Deletes all attributes with this name from all components and variants across the entire library, regardless of scope.
