Activity 6: Select bottom-side components on a board

1. In the Design Manager, on the Browser tab, in the View dropdown list, select Components.

2. In Component Sets list, click Bottom Side Components.

3. In Components list, see the range of bottom components. Click on one or more components to zoom in around them.

   

   Note that name labels are written backwards because they are printed on the bottom side of the board. For any component selected, note details in Inspector, Properties of Component(s).

Selecting Components from the Selection Filter

1. Click the Selection Filter tab.

2. In Types field, select Component, and in the Layers field, select Bottom.

3. On the board, draw a selection rectangle around an area of interest. The bottom components are highlighted with white outlines and blue pads.

   

   Components also appear in the Inspector tab > Selected Objects field, and if selected there, properties appear in the Properties of Component field above.
