Explore outcomes in the Scatter Plot View

Compare properties of outcomes and examine relationships between them.

To access the Scatter Plot View, on the Explore tab, click Display > Scatter Plot View .

If you want to...	then...
Select an outcome	Click a marker in the scatter plot. A preview of the outcome and its properties is displayed. Note: Outcomes remain selected as you move between views.
Deselect an outcome	- Click a large marker in the scatter plot, or - Click anywhere in the scatter plot.
Preview an outcome	Mouse over a marker in the scatter plot.
Change a property displayed on the scatter plot axis	Select a property from the list next to each axis.
Map properties to colors and shapes of markers	Select a property from the Symbols list. Note: The default selection is materials.
Display the iteration trend for an outcome	- Click a marker, and on the outcome card, click , or - Press Ctrl and click a marker.
Hide the iteration trend for an outcome	- Click a marker, and on the outcome card, click , or - Press Ctrl and click a marker. Note: To hide all iteration trends, press CTRL and click a blank space in the scatter plot.
Find three outcomes that are most visually similar to the selected outcome	Click a marker, and on the outcome card, click .
Open an outcome in the Outcome View	- Click a marker, and on the outcome card, click , or - Double-click a marker.
Select multiple outcomes for comparison	Press Shift and click markers in the scatter plot. On the Multiple selection card, click to open the Comparison View. Note: In the Comparison View, you can display up to four outcomes.
Deselect multiple outcomes	- Press Shift and click large markers in the scatter plot, or - Click anywhere in the scatter plot.
