Linear global load in the Generative Design workspace

Linear Global Load is the global load which, when applied, affects all the parts or bodies of the generative model. The load represents the acceleration forces that act on a mass experiencing linear acceleration. The force is proportional to the mass of the material. Importantly, the global load has no effect on a material with zero mass.

Access the command by selecting Linear Global Load point mass icon in the Design Conditions panel of the Generative Design toolbar.

Note: You can apply one load per study.

Use the linear global load to apply forces representing Linear acceleration, such as the forces acting on a drag racer while it is accelerating in a straight line direction. Acceleration can be positive (speed increasing) or negative (speed decreasing).
