2-axis cutting parameters

Parameter Details
Cutting Direction Sets a tool orientation for a cutting operation with reference to the Global Coordinate System.

Click X, Y, or Z to orient the cutting tool in the direction parallel to the X, Y, or Z axis of the triad, respectively.

Note: You can select only one direction.
Minimum Wall Thickness Attempts to enforce the minimum thickness of a wall or rib after cutting.

Wall thickness refers to the thickness of features in the cutting plane, that are perpendicular to the Cutting Direction.

Tip: To support enforcing this parameter:
  • When placing obstacle bodies, make sure that there is enough space between them to generate geometry of the specified minimum thickness.
  • Avoid placing obstacle bodies close to regions that may be thin in a generated outcome.
