ViewCube reference
The ViewCube is the 3D navigation cube in the corner of the canvas. Click and drag it to orbit your design, or right-click it to open a context menu with additional view and camera settings.
Mouse interactions
- Orbit: Click and drag the ViewCube to orbit the design in the canvas.
- Isometric views: Click a corner of the ViewCube to rotate the camera to a predefined isometric view.
- Orthographic views: Click a named face of the ViewCube (for example, Front, Top, or Right) to rotate the camera to that orthographic view.
- Home view: Click the Home icon on the ViewCube to return to the home view.
Right-click the ViewCube to open its context menu.
- Go Home: Returns the camera to the home view.
- Camera: Sets the projection used to render the canvas. Select from the following options:
- Orthographic: Shows a checkmark when it's the active projection.
- Perspective
- Perspective with Ortho Faces
- Set current view as Home: Sets the current view as the new home view. Select from the following options:
- Fit to View
- Fixed Distance
- Reset Home: Resets the home view to its default.
- Set current view as [Face]: Sets the current view as the named face shown on the ViewCube (for example, Set current view as Front or Set current view as Top). The label changes based on which face is currently facing the camera.
- Reset [Face]: Resets the named face shown in the previous option to its default view. The label changes to match, for example Reset Front.
- ViewCube Size: Sets the display size of the ViewCube. Select from the following options:
- Automatic
- Large
- Normal
- Small
- Tiny
Note: These camera options are shared with the Camera control in the Navigation bar's Display Settings menu. See the related Navigation bar reference topic below.
Note: The Set current view as [Face] and Reset [Face] labels update based on the face currently facing the camera. Front and Top are the most common faces you'll see in these labels, but any face of the ViewCube can appear here.
