Search in the Home tab and the Fusion web client

You can search for Fusion data from the Home tab and from the Fusion web client.

Search the Home tab Projects and Recent pages

In the Home tab Recent page, use Search to find matching component names.

  1. In the Home tab, click Recent on the left.

  2. Enter a term in the Search box.

  3. Click Filter filter icon to show options for narrowing search results:

    • Date Modified

    • File Types

    • Milestone types (only in Recent)

      Note: If you're working in a hub with collaborative editing, the term Milestones has been changed to Versions. You can now filter by Version, Historical Version, Revision, and Historical Revision. Check for this icon collaborative editing next to the hub name to confirm collaborative editing is available.   4. Click Clear filters to clear your selections.

In the Home tab Projects page, you have more control of where and what you want to search for. By default, Fusion looks for files and folders in the current hub.

  1. In the Home tab, click Projects on the left.

  2. Enter a term in the Search box.

  3. Use the Search for search icon drop-down menu to change what you search for and where. Fusion will search not just names, but also contents, including referenced components and part numbers.

    If you narrow the search to Projects, Fusion will search for any matching project names in the current hub and disable the Current Project and Current Folder options.

    Note: If you stop using Fusion for a year, you will not be able to search for component contents unless they have been updated.

Search for designs and files in the Fusion web client

Use Search in the Fusion web client to find design and file names.

  1. At the top of the Fusion web client, click Search search.

  2. Enter text to search for a design or file.

  3. In your browser, click Back to return to the previous page.
