| Library | A library is an organized collection of similarly-typed, commonly shared, and reused data. At a minimum, a library contains categories and library items. |
| Category | A category defines a set of properties common to library items belonging to that category. Each library must have at least one top or "root" category. Categories have a hierarchical structure in which each new category must add at least one new property with respect to its parent category. |
| Library Item | Library items are the items in a library. Library items can be searched for, filtered and sorted. |
| Family | Standard families define all parameters for their family members in the family table. When you select a family member to place in the assembly, the family member data fully specify the standard part to instance. |
| Member | Members are the individual library items within a family. |
| Part Number | An identifier of a particular part design or material used in a particular industry. Its purpose is to simplify reference to that item. |
