Analyze curvature of edges

Learn how to use the Curvature Comb Analysis command to analyze the curvature of edges in Fusion.

Create a curvature comb analysis

1. Click Inspect > Curvature Comb Analysis .

   The Curvature Comb Analysis dialog displays.

2. In the canvas, select the Edges you want to analyze.

   A curvature comb displays along each selected edge.

3. In the dialog, adjust the density and scale of curvature combs:

   • Density: Controls the number of teeth to display in each curvature comb.
   • Scale: Controls the relative scale of the curvature comb gradient.

4. Click OK.

In the browser, the Curvature Comb Analysis result displays in the Analysis folder. Click the visibility icon in the browser to show or hide the analysis.

Edit a curvature comb analysis

1. In the Browser, expand the Analysis folder.
2. Right-click the analysis, then click Edit.
3. In the dialog, adjust the selection set and settings.
4. Click OK.

Analyze curvature of sketch curves

1. In the canvas, select the sketch curve.

2. Right-click the sketch curve, then click Toggle Curvature Display.

   The Setup Curvature Display dialog displays.

3. In the dialog, adjust the density and scale of the curvature comb.

4. Click OK.

The curvature comb displays along the sketch curve in the canvas.

To hide the curvature comb, right-click the sketch curve, then click Toggle Curvature Display again.
