Create a point at the center of a circle, sphere, or torus

Learn how to use the Point At Center Of Circle/Sphere/Torus tool to create a construction point at the center of a circle, sphere, or torus in Fusion.

1. On the toolbar, select Construct > Point At Center Of Circle/Sphere/Torus .

   The Construction Geometry dialog displays, Type is set to Point and Method is set to At Center Of Circle/Sphere/Torus.

2. Select an Extent Type option to establish the end point of the plane.

3. In the canvas, select a circular face or sketch profile, spherical face, or toroidal face.

4. Click OK.

The new construction point displays in the canvas, at center of the circle, sphere, or torus you selected.

Tips

• You can only create one construction point at a time.
• Create construction points when you want to reference a point that does not exist.
