Create a point at the intersection of an edge and a plane

Learn how to use the Point At Edge And Plane tool to create a construction point at the intersection or extended intersection of linear edge, sketch line, or axis and a plane or face in Fusion.

1. On the toolbar, select Construct > Point At Edge And Plane .

   The Construction Geometry dialog displays, Type is set to Point and Method is set to At Edge And Plane.

2. Select an Extent Type option to establish the end point of the plane.

3. In the canvas, select the linear edge, sketch line, or axis.

4. Select a plane or face.

5. Click OK.

The new construction point displays in the canvas, at the intersection or extended intersection of the linear edge, sketch line or axis and the plane or face you selected.

Tips

• You can only create one construction point at a time.
• Create construction points when you want to reference a point that does not exist.
