Deleting or removing objects

There are several ways to delete or remove objects from a design in Fusion.

You can use the following commands to delete or remove objects from a design:

• Design > Modify > Delete
• Design > Modify > Remove

Delete

The Delete command permanently deletes selected objects, and everything related to them, from the design. Does not create a feature in the Timeline. Deleted objects cannot be restored parametrically.

Select components, bodies, sketches, and construction objects to delete.

Note: The Delete command does not create a feature in the Timeline. Deleted objects cannot be restored parametrically. If you want to preserve parametric history, use the Remove command instead.

Remove

The Remove command deletes selected components or bodies from the design and preserves the operation as a feature in the Timeline. Removed objects can be restored parametrically.

Select components or bodies to remove.

Note: To permanently delete parametric history associated with an object, use the Delete command instead.
