The Draft command applies a fixed plane or parting line draft angle to rotate planar faces on a solid body in Fusion.
Design > Solid > Modify > Draft
Select the draft type.
Type | Description |
---|---|
Fixed Plane | Select a fixed plane to draft from. |
Parting Line | Select a parting tool to define a line to draft from. |
Select a plane or face to define the pull direction.
Select a plane, face, edge, or sketch curve to use as the parting tool.
Select faces to draft.
Check to automatically select tangentially connected geometry.
Click to flip the pull direction of the draft, or click the pull direction manipulator in the canvas.
Specify the draft angle, or adjust the angle manipulator in the canvas.
Select which sides of the fixed plane to apply draft.
Setting | Description |
---|---|
One Side | Create a draft on one side of the fixed plane. Specify a single angle. |
Two Side | Create a draft on both sides of the fixed plane. Specify a different angle for each side. |
Symmetric | Create a draft on both sides of the fixed plane. Specify a single angle for both sides. |
Select which sides of the parting line to apply draft.

Select which sides of the parting line to maintain the specified angle.

Angle Above | Maintain the angle above the parting line. |
Both | Maintain the angle on both sides of the parting line. |
Angle Below | Maintain the angle below the parting line. |
Select the parting line type.
Parting Line Type | Description |

Fix Parting Line | Fix the parting line in place. |
Move Parting Line | Move the parting line to apply draft. |
Select edges to prevent deformation when the parting line moves.
