Split Face reference

Split Face divides faces on a surface or solid to add a draft, delete an area, or create features.

Faces to Split

Enables the selection of faces to split.

Splitting Tool

Enables the selection of a surface, work plane, or sketch geometry to divide the bodies. Sketch geometry is projected onto the target faces.

Split Type

• Split with Surface Use to project the splitting tool face you select onto the face you are splitting.
• Along Vector Select to define the projection direction by selecting an edge, face, or axis. This option results in multiple divisions if the vector intersects a target face in multiple locations.
• Closest Point Select to define the projection direction as the closest distance between the splitting tool and target faces.

Extend Splitting Tool

Extends the tool to completely intersect the target faces.
