Select objects by name

Learn how to select objects by searching for a portion of their name in Fusion.

1. On the toolbar, click Select > Selection Tools > Select By Name .

   The Select By Name dialog displays.

2. In the dialog, enter a name, enter a string of characters to search for.

3. Check the object types you want to search for:

   • Bodies: Selects solid and surface bodies that match the search criteria.
   • Components: Selects internal and external components that match the search criteria.

4. Click Find.

   The results of the search highlight in the canvas and the Browser.

   The number of objects that match the search criteria display in the dialog.

5. Click OK.

The objects are selected in the canvas and the Browser.
