Extrude reference (Form)

The Extrude command extrudes an open or closed sketch profile or planar face to create or modify a T-Spline body in Fusion.

Note: When you invoke the Extrude command, and there is only one profile visible in your design, it is automatically selected.

Design > Form > Create > Extrude extrude icon - form

Profile

Enables the selection of sketch profiles.

Profile Chain Selection

Specifies whether to include tangentially connected edges or select individual edges for open profiles.

Spacing

Specifies how the faces are positioned on the extrusion.

Faces

Specifies the number of faces along the extrusion.

Distance

Specifies the extrusion distance. There are two Distance fields for a two side extrusion.

Angle

Specifies the angle to taper the extrusion.

Direction

Specifies the method to control the size of the extrusion

Front Faces

Specifies the number of faces.

Embed Symmetry

Available when Direction is set to Symmetric. Maintains the symmetry of the extrusion.

New Component

Select to create a new body in the active component or a new body.
