Freeze/Unfreeze reference

In the Form contextual environment, the Freeze and Unfreeze commands let you freeze or thaw faces and edges on a T-Spline body to prevent or allow changes to specific areas in Fusion.

Design > Form > Modify > Freeze

Design > Form > Modify > Unfreeze

Use Freeze when you need to prevent changes in one area of a design while making modifications to other areas.

You might also use Freeze with the Match command. The Match command moves selected T-Spline edges to meet other selected edges or curves and the Freeze command would lock the T-Spline edges in place.

When you freeze edges or faces, some adjacent edges will also be locked from editing to ensure your frozen edges do not change. These adjacent edges are highlighted in a different shade of blue.

T-Spline Faces / Edges

Enables the selection of faces or edges to freeze.

Tips

• Light blue edges indicate areas that are frozen.
• Dark blue edges indicate areas that cannot be modified to prevent changes to the selected faces or edges.
