In this activity, you translate the top of the bottle upwards to create the spout and add extra edges to create the rounded spout profile.
Translate the top of the bottle upwards by 15 mm to create two height faces to define the height of the spout.
Double-click the circular edge at the top of the cylinder.
Hold the Alt
key and click and drag on the manipulator to translate upwards by 10 mm.
Click a blank area of the canvas.
Repeat steps a to c but translate the height of the bottle upwards by 5 mm.
In the Edit Form dialog, click OK.
Insert a circular edge halfway through the top faces of the bottle.
Click Form > Modify > Insert Edge .
Make sure the circular edge at the top of the bottle is selected. If the edge is not selected, double-click it.
In the Insert Edge dialog, make sure the Insert Location is set to 0.5.
Click OK.
Insert two circular edges either side of the one you just inserted.
Click Form > Modify > Insert Edge .
In the canvas, double-click the circular edge you just inserted.
In the Insert Edge dialog, make sure that the Insert Location is set to 0.5.
Select an Insertion Side of Both.
Click OK.
Scale the profile of the spout by a factor of 1.2 to create a rounded profile.
Click the Front view of the ViewCube to show the profile of the bottle.
Click Form > Modify > Edit Form .
In the canvas, click and drag from right to left to draw a selection box over the two rows of faces.
Orbit the view to make sure all the faces around the spout are selected.
Click and drag on the manipulator to scale outwards by a factor of 1.2.
In the Edit Form dialog, click OK.
