Bridge between T-Spline faces and edges
Learn how to use the Bridge tool to connect two T-Spline surfaces using faces or edges in Fusion.

The Bridge tool allows you to connect two T-Spline bodies (or two parts of the same T-Spline body) by adding intermediate faces. You can also create a tunnel through a T-Spline body.
Create a bridge between two T-Spline bodies
- In the Design workspace, Form contextual environment, select Modify > Bridge
.
- Select a start face (on one body) and an end face (on the other body).
- (Optional) Do any of the following:
- In the Bridge dialog, select Preview to see how the bridge looks.
- To change the start direction of the bridge, select Flip Direction in the Bridge dialog, or drag the arrows that appear on the bridge.
- In the Bridge dialog, change the number of intermediate faces or apply twist.
- Click OK.
Create a curved bridge between two T-Spline bodies
- Create a sketch of a curve anywhere on the canvas.
- In the Design workspace, Form contextual environment, select Modify > Bridge.
- Select a start face and an end face for your bridge.
- In the Bridge dialog, select Follow Curve and then select your sketched curve.
- (Optional) Do any of the following:
- Select Preview in the Bridge dialog. Use the manipulator to rotate the curve that the bridge is following.
- Select Flip Direction in the Bridge dialog.
- Click OK.
Use a bridge to connect open edges
- In the Design workspace, Form contextual environment, select Modify > Bridge.
- Click each of the open edges (such as the edges of a gap in a cylinder) to select them. Double-click to select a connected edge loop.
- Click OK.
Create a tunnel through a T-Spline body
- In the Design workspace, Form contextual environment, select Modify > Bridge.
- Select the start face and the end face for your tunnel.
- Click OK.
If you create a bridge near the edge of a T-Spline body, you sometimes are left with some odd faces. Experiment with selecting and deleting these faces to create an arched tunnel through the T-Spline body.

Tips
- The number of edges and faces on each side must be equal or multiples of each other.
- Increase the number of faces to add more definition to the curve.
- Preview the Bridge to verify the expected direction and shape.
- The number of edges on each side must be equal to or a multiple of each other.
