Using surface probes

Displays the result at the specified point on the surface of the model.

Create a Surface Probes

  1. In the Results tab, select Inspect > Create Surface Probes surface probe icon to open the Create Surface Probes dialog.
  2. Hover over the model to see the result on the surface at the point of the curser. Click to create a tag at the location of the curser
    • Changing the result updates the surface probe information. To get information internal to the model use Point Probe instead.
  3. Click OK to close the Create Surface Probes dialog.

Delete Surface Probes

Once you place a probe, in the Results tab, select Inspect > Delete All Probes delete icon to delete all probe annotations at once. You can also right-click a single probe and select Delete to remove a single probe.

Note: Delete all probes removes all Point Probes as well.

Show/Hide Surface Probes

Once you place a probe, you can toggle its visibility:

  1. Click to select the probe in the graphics window.
  2. Right-click, and select Show/Hide from the marking menu.

After a probe is hidden, Show All Probes command in the Inspect drop-down and the right-click context menu is enabled which allows you to show all probe annotations.
