Optimize contacts in Event Simulation

Prerequisites

You have generated contacts using the Global Contacts command.

Steps

1. In the Simulation workspace, on the Setup tab, click Contacts panel > Manage Contacts .
2. Click on each row and cell to identify the bodies involved.
3. Click Suppress All Self-Contacts to supppress unnecessary self-contacts that will contribute to the compute time.
4. For each cell that includes an unnecessary contact, for example where two bodies will not actually come into contact with one another, right click and select Suppress Contact
5. Click OK to accept the changes and close the Event Simulation Contacts Manager.
