Change the simulation result legend min/max

The Minimum and Maximum of the legend can be modified to change the coloring of the model.

Depending on the study type, and therefore the results viewer, there are two ways to change the upper and lower legend values.

Online viewer

Prerequisites: You have run a static stress, thermal, thermal stress, modal frequencies, structural buckling, Fusion injection molding, or electronics cooling study and have results to view.

Change the legend min/max using the range of interest sliders. Fusion spreads the full color range across your chosen minimum and maximum, so narrowing the range increases the contrast between the values you care about.

1. At the top of the legend, drag the Max slider down to lower the upper value. You can also type a new value in the box next to it.
2. At the bottom of the legend, drag the Min slider up to raise the lower value. You can also type a new value in the box next to it.

Legacy viewer

The Legend Min/Max command enables you to change the range of values shown in the legend, so you can focus on problem areas or identify where the part might fall out of specification.

Prerequisites: You have run an event simulation, or shape optimization study and have results to view.

1. Click (Simulation workspace > Results tab > Result Tools panel > Legend Min/Max) to open the Min/Max dialog.

2. Specify the desired maximum and minimum value.

3. Click Reset to reset the values to the default state.
