Contact conditions can be applied to the simulation, automatically or manually. When defining the contact conditions manually, one body in each contact set is defined as the Primary Body and the other body is defined as the Secondary Body.
There are 6 contact types you can define:
Type | Penetration allowed? | Separation possible? | Contacting bodies can slide? |
---|---|---|---|
Bonded | No | No | No |
Offset Bonded | No | No | No |
Separation | No | Yes | Yes |
Sliding | No | No | Yes |
Rough | No | Yes | No |
No Contact | N/A | N/A | N/A |
