Result Settings

The Result Settings panel in the online results viewer provides options to customize how results are displayed. Available settings depend on the result type.

To access Result Settings, click the settings icon next to the result name above the legend.

Setting Descriptions

Number of Colors

Controls the number of color bands in the legend (up to 256). More colors provide smoother gradients, while fewer colors create distinct zones.

Available for: All contour results

Show Threshold Slider

Enables threshold sliders on the legend to filter the display. Adjust sliders to show only values within a specific range.

Available for: All contour results

Units

Select the display units for dimensional results.

Available for: Stress, Displacement, Force, Temperature, Heat Flux, Thermal Gradient

Not available for: Dimensionless results (Strain, Safety Factor)

Exclude Hidden Bodies

Excludes hidden bodies from result calculations and display. When enabled, hidden bodies are not included in determining minimum and maximum values.

Available for: Structural results (Static stress, Modal, Buckling) and thermal results (Thermal, Thermal stress, Electronics cooling)

Not available for: Injection molding results

Result-Specific Settings

Safety Factor (Static Stress)

Result Visualization: Select display mode

Traffic Light Plot: Full safety factor distribution using color zones (red/green/blue) based on thresholds
Below Target: Only shows areas where safety factor is below the lower threshold
Above Target: Only shows areas where safety factor exceeds the upper threshold

Safety Factor Max Value: Display the maximum safety factor value on the legend (Traffic Light Plot only)

Air Velocity (Electronics Cooling)

Line Properties: Select visualization mode

Flow Lines: Displays flow paths as streamlines
Air Flow: Displays flow as directional vectors

Flow Line Controls (when using Flow Lines mode):

Density: Controls the number of flow lines displayed
Show Cones: Displays directional cones along flow lines
Weight: Adjusts the thickness of flow lines
Magnitude Scaling: Controls the relationship between flow speed and line appearance

Injection Molding Fill Animation

Legend values: Select how animation data is displayed

All frames: Animates the final result values from the final time step to show the part fill pattern
Per frame: Displays result values for each individual time step

Injection Molding Fill+Pack Results

Magnification: Amplifies displacement values to make deformations more visible

Opaque: Makes the model surface opaque

Original Wireframe: Displays the original undeformed model as a wireframe overlay

Injection Molding Warp

Original Wireframe: Displays the original undeformed model as a wireframe overlay

Note: For structural studies, wireframe toggle is on the toolbar, not in Result Settings.
