Switch result visualizations

Switch between alternative visualizations to view the same result data in different ways. The method depends on the result type.

Switch visualizations using dropdown menu

For Air Velocity, Fill animation, Warpage tolerance, and Sink mark depth results:

1. On the Results tab, click the result in the Browser.

2. Above the legend, locate the dropdown menu next to the result name.

3. Click the dropdown and select the visualization mode:

   • Air Velocity: Flow Lines or Air Flow
   • Fill animation: Plastic Flow or Fill Time
   • Warpage tolerance: Warpage or Flatness
   • Sink mark depth: Threshold, Estimate, or Visualization

The canvas updates immediately to show the selected visualization.

Switch visualizations using Result Settings

For Safety Factor results:

1. On the Results tab, click the Safety Factor result in the Browser.

2. Click the settings icon next to Safety Factor above the legend.

3. In the Result Settings panel, under Result Visualization, select the mode:

   • Traffic Light Plot: Full distribution with three color zones
   • Below Target: Critical areas only (below lower threshold)
   • Above Target: Over-engineered areas only (above upper threshold)

The canvas updates immediately to show the selected visualization.

Understanding the difference

• Dropdown method: Used for most results with alternative visualizations (Air Velocity, injection molding results)
• Result Settings method: Used specifically for Safety Factor visualizations

Both methods let you switch visualizations without changing the underlying result data or selecting a different result in the Browser.
