Clone a simulation study in the same Simulation Model

To save time when creating new studies associated with the same Simulation Model, use the Clone study command. The cloned study has the same mesh, loads, constraints, and so on as the original study, but without the results that may be associated with the parent study.

Note: Use Copy Study to duplicate studies from one configuration to another.

Prerequisites: You have a Simulation Model open, with at least one study set up.

1. In the Simulation workspace, in the browser, expand the Simulation Model node and identify to the study you want to clone.

   Note: The study does not have to be active for you to clone it.

2. Right-click the study to open the context menu.

3. In the context menu, click Clone Study to instantaneously create a copy associated with the same Simulation Model.

   The cloned study is created instantaneously and is listed in the browser as the active study.
