AutoConstrain reference

Tile details

• Constraints: Shows the number of constraints added to the sketch.
• Dimensions: Shows the number of constraints added to the sketch. Tip: Hover the cursor over the tile details section to display a tooltip with the total number of constraints and dimensions.
• Status: Shows the constrained status of the sketch geometry.
  • Fully Constrained: All sketch geometry is fully constrained and cannot be moved in the canvas.
  • Partially Constrained: Some sketch geometry is not constrained and can be moved in the canvas.
• Constraint Quantity: Lets you increase or decrease the amount of added constraints and dimensions.

Constraint quantity

In the active result tile, use the slider to increase or decrease the number of added constraints and dimensions.

1. Reduce Constraints : Reduces the number of added constraints and dimensions.
2. Add Constraints : Increases the number of added constraints and dimensions.
3. Slider: Drag the slider to increase or decrease the added constraints and dimensions.

Modify Geometry

In the active result tile, check the box to modify sketch geometry within various tolerances that you specify using the Tolerance slider and custom settings.

Datum

The Datum is the point that dimensions align to in the sketch.
